James Odza

James Odza has extensive experience in the banking industry, with a focus on financial management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. James currently holds the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Anchor Bank. Prior to this, James served as the EVP/Chief Financial Officer at American National Bank in Oakland Park, FL, where they were responsible for overseeing finance and accounting, operations, risk management, internal audits, regulatory compliance, and information security. Before that, they were the EVP/Chief Financial Officer at OptimumBank, where they led the turnaround of the community bank by reengineering the investment portfolio, raising capital levels, and improving regulatory compliance. James also served as the EVP/Chief Financial Officer at Grand Bank & Trust of Florida, a locally-owned commercial bank and lending institution. James was a founding member of the bank and managed various financial functions, including strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury management, and risk management. Earlier in their career, James worked at Great Southern Bank as the VP/Compliance Officer, overseeing the regulatory compliance program and loan review functions. James also held roles at SunTrust Banks, Inc., where they assessed asset quality, conducted loan reviews, and managed compliance programs. James has a strong background in financial management, regulatory compliance, and risk management, making him a valuable asset to any banking organization.

James Odza has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from Tulane University - A.B. Freeman School of Business. James also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Tulane University. Additionally, James Odza has completed a Graduate program in Banking from ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. James has obtained a certification as a Certified Community Banking Compliance Officer from ICBA in November 1995.
