Position Summary: 

As the Vice President of Sales for Anchor Loans, your primary responsibility is to lead and oversee the sales team in acquiring new clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones.  You'll develop and implement sales trainings and strategies to achieve revenue targets, identify market opportunities, and establish partnerships within the real estate and finance sectors.  Additionally, you'll collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of lending processes and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.  Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential for success in the role, along with a deep understanding of the lending industry and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in our office located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Experience in residential business purpose lending (required), real estate finance/ mortgage banking sales.

  • Thorough understanding of sales management and training.

  • Extensive knowledge with sales analytics and account management.

  • Competency with client relations, business development and sales leadership.

  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

Originations:

  • Manage the Anchor sales force to balance the nationwide origination distribution.
  • Develop a more robust brand and marketing strategy to highlight Anchor Loans product, services, and people.
  • Responsible for the reporting of sales forecasts and related budget expectations.
  • Drive client sales lead generation and appropriate sales team tracking and metrics.
  • Nurture the culture of the sales team by providing a framework, foundation and structure that engages the team.
  • Develop and maintain a Sales playbook, in coordination with other BU, to roll out product, pricing, sales or service updates/ changes to ensure proper communication and engagement.

Marketing/ Business Development:

  • Facilitate sales campaigns, marketing events and production contests.

  • Be aware of Anchor’s pricing, positioning in the market and look for opportunities to capture more market share with specials or campaigns.

  • Coordinate and lead team and sales strategy meetings.

  • Orchestrate an effective marketing and communications platform.

  • Manage a proper protocol for all Client facing interaction to ensure consistent and quality customer care.

  • Develop further expansion with social media sites, advertising, tools and related solutions.

Sales Planning:

  • Conduct a deep dive account management review of the sales team.  Ensure it is efficient and effective to gain maximum coverage.

  • Maintain current knowledge of our competitor’s position in the marketplace.

  • Establish sales positioning in markets and by product in a unique way. Ensure originators understand and sell Anchor’s Value Proposition.

  • Develop consistent methodology to onboarding new Originators and shorten the ramp time to produce results.

  • Develop an enterprise sales component that captures improvements in account management, sales cycle, product development, sales training, client relations, customer experience and account segmentation.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven success and extensive experience and a minimum of 5 years in real estate finance sales management.
  • Driven to succeed, a team player and skilled in communications and client relations.
  • Knowledge of the Sales process: transaction, legal docs, sales cycle, and growth models.
  • Deep experience with CRMs and related tools and functionality (reporting, journeys, conversion triggers).
  • Excellent time management skills with demonstrated with demonstrated ability to meet desired objectives.
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving, territory management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to review and synthesize data for prospecting and lead generation efforts.
  • Adept at Pipeline Management with proficiency at hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to foster a strong, collaborative team environment while providing individualized coaching support.
  • Track record with identifying and implementation of training programs that promotes sales efficacy.
  • Works effectively cross functionally across BU, representing Sales.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
