Alexandre Bastos has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. In 2007, they joined Blusens Global Corporation as the CTO and R&D Director, where they designed the R&D Plan and restructured the entire R&D organization. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at CENTUM Global Corporation, initially as the Innovation Director and later as the Strategic Development Director, leading the development and deployment of the company's strategic plans. In 2013, they co-founded SMARTtEK Devices and focused on developing and selling smart technologies. In 2015, they founded nomya, a startup in the automotive sector aimed at building and selling tailor-made electric microcars. Alexandre also worked as an Advisor to the founding members of Phottic, an organization focused on recovering history through photography. In 2016, they became the Innovation Director at EDNON, leading the transformation of the company's ICT business. At the same time, they advised companies as the Owner and Consultant at ON THE BUS innovation. In 2017, Alexandre founded Ancora and currently serves as the Founder-CEO, leading a team to develop a digital exoskeleton for workers in the manufacturing industry. Additionally, they served as the Entrepreneur in Residence at Universidad de Vigo, leading the UBISMART team to build a new business based on previous research in ubiquitous computing.
Alexandre Bastos earned their MSc. in Telecom Engineering with a specialization in Telematics from Universidade de Vigo, where they studied from 1996 to 2002. Alexandre later pursued further education by completing the Programa Avanzado en Management from IE University in 2021. Alexandre also obtained a Master's degree in People Management and Direction from Universidad Intercontinental de la Empresa in 2012. In 2009, they completed the Management Development Program from the same university, focusing on Innovation Management & Leadership. Additionally, Alexandre attended Escuela de Organización Industrial in 2005 and 2006, where they participated in the ICT Business Entrepreneurship Program.
