Felipe Gil Castiñeira

Felipe Gil Castiñeira has a diverse work experience encompassing various roles and industries. Felipe founded Ancora in 2017, a software platform that connects workers with production systems through their smartphones, enhancing productivity and simplifying usability. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Vigo starting in 2011. In 2011, they also co-founded Infinbox, a company focused on developing ICT services and solutions for hospitals. At Infinbox, they utilized advanced technology for entertainment, information sharing, and medical visualization. From 2014 to 2016, Felipe served as the Research Director for Intelligent Networked Systems at GRADIANT, managing a team of researchers in areas such as embedded systems, IoT, data analytics, and networking. Felipe has also worked as an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Universidade de Vigo, where they contributed to academic and research activities. Felipe's professional career includes a visiting researcher position at Nokia in 2009.

Felipe Gil Castiñeira obtained their MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidade de Vigo, starting in 1996 and completing in 2001. In 2003, they pursued a PhD at the same university, specializing in the field of wireless communications, context-aware systems, indoor location, embedded systems, and nomadic devices such as phones. Felipe'sdoctoral studies concluded in 2007. Additionally, in 2004, Felipe attended the IE Business School to enhance their knowledge in business management, although no specific degree was mentioned.
