Tony Boon

Tony Boon has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry, with a particular focus on claims operations. Tony currently serves as the Head of Claims Operations at Ando Insurance Group Limited since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at IAG as a Manager of Claims Partnerships from July 2019 to April 2021. From 2016 to 2019, Tony held the position of National Manager - Broker Claims at NZI. Additionally, Tony has had leadership roles at Lumley General Insurance (N.Z.) Ltd., including Manager - Domestic Response, Manager - Case Settlements, and Distribution Services Manager. Before that, they worked as an Operations Manager and Training Manager at AMI Insurance Company (later became Southern Response). Tony also has experience in the education sector, having served as the Board Chair/Board of Trustees for St Albans School from 2010 to 2019.

Tony Boon completed their Bachelor of Business Studies with a focus on Finance and Tourism at Massey University from 1991 to 1994. Later, from 2001 to 2004, they pursued a Diploma in Financial Services with a specialization in General Insurance at the Australia and NZ Institute of Insurance and Finance.
