Shani Izower has a strong work background in finance and leadership roles. Shani is currently the Partner and Head of Strategic Business Finance at Andreessen Horowitz, responsible for partnership across various sectors such as venture, growth, bio/healthcare, crypto, and games. Prior to this, they worked at Google as part of the Global Business Finance team, where they played a pivotal role in designing a global entity architecture solution and providing finance advisory for the launch and expansion of Google Payments. Before that, they were the VP of Finance at Codecademy, where they raised significant funding and played a key role in the company's acquisition. Shani also served as the Finance Director at Meetup, overseeing finance strategy and orchestrating the company's acquisition by WeWork. Additionally, they held finance positions at Pursway, securing additional funding and leading debt financing and M&A efforts. Shani started their career as a Senior Associate in Assurance Services at PwC and served as an Education Officer in the IDF.
Shani Izower has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting and Political Science from Tel Aviv University. Shani also pursued Advanced Accounting Studies (CPA) at Tel Aviv University. Shani holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The Open University of Israel. Furthermore, they completed a course in Building Interpersonal Skills at Stanford Continuing Studies in 2014. Shani is currently enrolled in the Governance for Startup Board Members program at Stanford Continuing Studies, expected to be completed in 2023. Shani also holds the certification of Certified Public Accountant from the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
