Mark Klinger

Director Of Architecture at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games

Mark Klinger has over 20 years of work experience in architecture and design. Mark is currently the Director of Architecture at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games since August 2018. Prior to that, Mark was the owner of MK Design Group, a Baltimore-based architecture and design firm that specializes in historical restoration, entertainment, hospitality, multi-family, and retail projects. Mark started their own firm, Mark Klinger Inc., in 2016, where they served as the owner, project manager, and designer focusing on architectural and interior design, construction management, and FFE.

Before starting their own firm, Mark worked as a Senior Project Manager at Core States Group, managing the Dallas office and overseeing various projects for clients including Corner Bakery, LA Madeline, Taco Bell, Peter Piper Pizza, 7-11, Citi Bank, Chase, and McDonald's. From 2008 to 2015, Mark worked at Hodges & Associates, where they served as an architect, project manager, and construction manager. Mark was involved in restaurant, bar, hospitality, retail design, and full construction management and administration. Mark also managed and contributed to over 40 projects during their time there.

Earlier in their career, Mark worked as the Director of Development at Stockbridge Corp., where they established projects from initial concept to completion and handled all phases of development. Mark also worked as the owner of Mark Klinger Design, where they worked on residential and commercial projects. Their career began at Cinemark, starting as a construction manager and later being promoted to Design Director.

Mark's extensive experience also includes working as a design associate at Richard Trimble & Assoc., where they worked on high-end residential and commercial projects worldwide, designing interiors and exteriors. Mark gained experience working directly with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, as well as purchasing materials for elite clients. Throughout their career, Mark has developed strong design, management, and communication skills and has always been dedicated to delivering high-quality projects.

Mark Klinger pursued their education in the field of architecture, starting in 1987 at El Centro College. Over a span of two years, from 1987 to 1989, they completed their Associate's Degree in Building Construction Technology. Following this, Mark attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 1989 to 1995, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Architecture.
