David Malnar has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. David began their career in 1980 as a Petty Officer First Class in the United States Navy, serving aboard four ships and a tour at Great Lakes IL Training Station. In 2007, they became a Member of the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce and in 2008, a Small Business Council Member of the Iowa Quad City Chamber of Commerce. In 2001, they became Business Owner/CEO/COO of Longley Systems, Inc., overseeing the day to day operations of a Veteran Owned Small Business and transforming a primarily On-Premise "break-fix" client base to Hosted SaaS with reoccurring revenue. David also served as Implementation Coordinator, managing a team of highly skilled Implementation Specialists providing consulting, implementation, and technical support services to organizations within a myriad of industries. In 2017, they joined NOVAtime Technology, Inc. as Acquisition Manager and Client Success Advocate, managing the transition of clients during a Direct Reseller Acquisition and successfully implementing Timekeeping and Advanced Scheduling solutions to the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. In 2018, they joined Andrews Technology HMS, Inc. as Chief Operating Officer and Project Manager, managing 60+ projects while overseeing a team of Implementation Specialists from Project Kick-Off to Completion, developing Project Plans, scheduling and hosting internal/external Project Status Meetings, and identifying, communicating, and resolving project risks.
David Malnar obtained a Bachelor of Liberal Arts (BALS) from Western Illinois University in 2007, with a field of study in Information Systems and Business Management. Prior to that, they attended Black Hawk College from 2002 to 2004, studying Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
