Shad Reed

Shad Reed, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of Engineering for ALTIUS at Anduril Industries since June 2022. Prior to this role, Reed held various positions at Area-I, including Program Director and Program Manager, and served in the United States Air Force as Deputy Commander and International Program Officer, leading a team and developing a significant research portfolio for next-generation autonomous vehicles. Reed's extensive experience also includes academic roles at the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy at West Point, along with leadership in the Air Force Research Laboratory where multiple branches were managed across substantial projects. Reed holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, along with several advanced degrees in engineering and national security.
