Aaron W. is a seasoned professional in forest carbon modeling and natural climate solutions with over a decade of experience in forestry. Currently serving as the Director of US Forest Carbon Modeling at Anew since June 2021, Aaron W. focuses on automating and enhancing modeling approaches for IFM baseline calculations, alongside proficiency in growth and yield modeling using the Forest Vegetation Simulator in R. Prior to this role, Aaron W. worked as a FIA Supervisory Forester at the Colorado State Forest Service from March 2010 to May 2021, managing field crews and collaborating on program needs. Aaron W. also has experience leading inventory and analysis teams at the Texas A&M Forest Service. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Forest Science and a Graduate certificate in Data Analysis from Colorado State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Forestry from Michigan Technological University.
