Joseph Schwartz

Joseph Schwartz has a diverse range of experience in the forestry and natural asset management industry. Joseph is currently the Senior Director of Transactions at Anew, a position they started in 2022. Prior to this role, Joseph worked at THE FORESTLAND GROUP, LLC, where they held various positions including Senior Director of Transactions, Director of Investment Analysis, Senior Forestland Analyst, and Forestland Analyst. Their responsibilities included strategy development, investment valuation, deal structuring, transaction negotiations, due diligence, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Before joining THE FORESTLAND GROUP, LLC, Joseph worked as an Assistant Regional Director at a forestry company, where they managed multiple properties and supervised forestry consultants to ensure sustainable forest management. Joseph also has experience working at the Missouri Department of Conservation and Clearwater Forest Consultants, LLC. Overall, Joseph has extensive expertise in timberland investment properties, portfolio management, property valuation, and forest management.

Joseph Schwartz completed their Bachelor of Science in Forest Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1996 and 2001. Joseph then pursued a Master of Science in Forestry at Michigan Technological University from 2002 to 2004.
