Thomas Michael Thestrup, PhD has a diverse work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Thomas Michael is currently serving as a Board Member at Stealth Mode Biotech. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal at Angelini Ventures. Thomas Michael also served as a Board Observer at GenEp Inc., Arclight Therapeutics, Cadence Neuroscience Inc., and Damona Pharmaceuticals. In addition, Thomas held the role of Corporate Venturing Investment Director at Angelini Pharma and Director of Corporate Business Development & Strategy at Lundbeck. Thomas Michael has also worked as an Associate Director in Global Business Development at UCB. Prior to their roles in business development, Thomas co-founded and served as the CEO & Co-CEO of Jymmin, a company specializing in fitness equipment.

Thomas Michael Thestrup, PhD has a strong educational background in biology and neuroscience. Thomas Michael obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Copenhagen in 2006, followed by a Master of Science degree in Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Copenhagen in 2008. Thomas Michael further pursued their academic career at the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology, where they successfully completed their Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat) in Neuroscience and Protein Engineering. During their doctoral studies, they also gained research experience as a Visiting Scientist at the HHMI - Janelia Farm Research Campus, specializing in Protein Engineering and Screening. Prior to their higher education, they received a Mathematical student's degree from Helsinge Gymnasium in 2000. In addition to their academic achievements, Thomas has also obtained several certifications, including Corporate Venturing and Innovation from INSEAD Executive Education, Advanced Course: IP Licensing for Business Development from the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc., Competitive Strategy from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, General Course on Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization, and SSI Advanced Open Water Diver from Scuba Schools International.
