Jean-Baptiste Garcia

Jean-Baptiste Garcia joined Angelo Gordon in 2011 and is the firm’s Global Head of Tax. He is responsible for all global tax matters in the broadest sense including investment structuring, assessment of tax cost and risks in underwriting, as well as all tax-related operations and compliance matters. Through late 2017, Jean-Baptiste was employed by an associated local office of Angelo Gordon in Amsterdam where he worked as the International Tax Director focusing on the finance, legal and tax aspects of Angelo Gordon’s real estate investments outside of the U.S. Before joining Angelo Gordon, Jean-Baptiste worked for approximately 10 years as an international tax advisor in Amsterdam and New York, specializing in Investment Management and Real Estate.

Jean-Baptiste has a Masters of Laws degree in Dutch Tax law from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in Dutch, Spanish, French and English.
