Angie Leong, also known as "Veggies", has extensive work experience. In 2016, they were a Residential Assistant at Student Village, the University of Melbourne Campus, where they organized social activities for a residential community of 600 students. In 2020, they co-founded and became CEO of Angie's Tempeh, a startup specializing in a wholesome form of plant-based protein made from fermented beans and grains. Under their leadership, the company quickly grew from a small-scale set up into a commercial factory selling through DTC and B2B channels. In 2021, Angie's Tempeh was part of Cohort 3 of the Big Idea Ventures Accelerator in Singapore, where the company received USD $200,000 in venture funding and was mentored on how to scale their operations domestically and internationally.
Angie "Veggies" Leong completed a Diploma in International Business from Ngee Ann Polytechnic between 2011 and 2013. Angie "Veggies" then went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the University of Melbourne between 2015 and 2018. In addition, they have obtained two certifications, Digital Marketing Landscape from Meta in August 2022, and Introduction to Social Media Marketing from Coursera in August 2022.
