Derek Farrell

Derek Farrell is an experienced professional currently serving as a Remote Engagement Officer with the NT Electoral Commission since April 2024 and as a Project Specialist at Anglicare NT since October 2022. Derek has also worked as an Independent Consultant since April 2019 and as a self-employed Consultant and Organizational Development Specialist since March 2018, focusing on governance, leadership, and strategic planning. Previously, Derek held the role of Regional Director at the Australian Competition Consumer Commission from February 1995 to January 2018, where significant contributions included developing the Indigenous Consumer Strategy and leading operations in the Northern Territory. Additionally, Derek served as a Project Management Consultant for the International Development Law Organization from October 2016 to October 2017. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work in Community Development from UNSW and an Executive Masters of Public Administration from the Australian and New Zealand School of Government, specializing in organizational leadership and strategic planning.
