Msc Melissa Stammely-Park

Melissa Stammely-Park, MSc, serves as the Therapeutic Programs Coordinator at Animal Friends since September 2022, bringing extensive experience in animal welfare advocacy. Previously, Melissa held the position of Captive Wildlife Specialist at the PETA Foundation, where responsibilities included investigating Animal Welfare Act violations, collaborating with legal and veterinary teams, and managing volunteer activism efforts. Earlier roles included an internship at The Humane Society of the United States focusing on wildlife policy, and various positions in animal care and management, demonstrating a strong commitment to animal welfare and advocacy. Melissa holds a Master of Science in Anthrozoology from Canisius University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Government and Communication from the University of Pittsburgh.
