Tom Colvin

Tom Colvin has extensive experience in nonprofit animal rescue, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc. since 1995. Under Tom's leadership, a team of seven directors manages a staff of 100, overseeing various programs including Animal Services, Community Outreach, Therapy programs, and Veterinary services aimed at promoting the well-being of pets. Prior to this role, Tom worked at the Black Hawk Humane Society (now Cedar Bend), starting as a Shelter Director in 1974 and later becoming the Executive Director, after gaining five years of experience as a veterinary technician and while attending the University of Northern Iowa.
