Marisa Huston

Marisa Huston is an experienced professional with a background in library services, political finance, and community organization. Currently serving as a Library Technician in Outreach at the Ann Arbor District Library since August 2016, Marisa has previously held roles such as Administrative Assistant with Friends of the Ann Arbor District Library and Finance and Communications Director for Dr. Anil Kumar for US Congress. Marisa has also contributed as a Graduate Intern at the Peace Education Initiative, where key projects included community peace education practices and engaging students with educational exhibits. With experience as a Lead Organizer at the Washtenaw County Workers’ Center and various tutoring positions, Marisa combines a strong foundation in education and advocacy with a Master’s degree in Peace Education from the United Nations Mandated University for Peace and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies from Beloit College.
