Shoshana Hurand is an experienced volunteer coordinator and program director with a strong background in community arts and organizational management. Currently serving as the Volunteer Coordinator at Ann Arbor District Library since May 2016, Shoshana previously held the role of Producer for Burns Park Play, where a community theatre production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” was successfully produced. Shoshana has been influential in various nonprofits, including Artrain, Inc. and The Arts Alliance, focusing on program direction, community engagement, and advocacy within the creative sector of Washtenaw County. Additional experience includes managing a piano-carrying bicycle tour and contributing to multiple art-related initiatives and organizations as a founding board member and community arts organizer. Shoshana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Social Work with a focus on Community Organizing from the University of Michigan.
