Boris Shir

Boris Shir has extensive work experience in risk management and business control roles. Boris is currently employed as the Managing Director and Head of Operational Risk at Annaly Capital Management since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at JPMorgan as an Executive Director and Business Control Manager in Spread Markets from November 2013 to July 2022. Boris was also an Executive Director and Head of Business Management Americas at Portigon AG (formerly known as WestLB AG) from April 2004 to November 2013. Boris had a role at UBS Investment Bank as a Director in Market Risk Control from January 2000 to April 2004. Boris began their career at PaineWebber, first as an Intermediate Financial Analyst from January 1992 to September 1995, and later as a Division Vice President in Risk Management from September 1995 to January 2000.
