Oronde Miller has a strong background in promoting equity and inclusion. Oronde is currently serving as the Director of Equity and Inclusion at the Annie E. Casey Foundation since July 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Executive Director at the Institute for Family and Child Well-Being starting from January 2004. From March 2016 to August 2022, Oronde led the racial equity and community engagement team as the Senior Program Officer for Racial Equity & Community Engagement at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Oronde also worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in Family Well-Being & Racial Equity from May 2014 to March 2016. Before that, they served as a Senior Associate at the Center for the Study of Social Policy from January 2011 to May 2015. Oronde has also held positions at the Maryland Department of Human Resources as Chief of Staff from January 2010 to January 2011, Casey Family Programs as Senior Director of Strategic Consulting from March 2005 to January 2010, and the Child Welfare League of America as a Senior Research Assistant from March 2003 to March 2005.
Oronde Miller attended Howard University from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Howard University from 1995 to 1997.
