Halley Johnson has a wealth of work experience. Halley began their career in 2007 as an Editorial Intern at At Home Tennessee Magazine. In 2008, they became a Summer Writing Institute Fellow and an English Department Writing Fellow at Rhodes College. In 2010, they were an Editorial Intern at Memphis Flyer. In 2011, they were a Project Coordinator at Crosstown Arts. From 2013-2014, they held several roles at Artsy, including Managing Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, Production Editor, Editorial Associate, and Editorial Intern. In 2018, they became a Content Strategy Lead, Education at Airtable. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Content Marketing Lead at Anrok.

Halley Johnson completed a Master's Degree in Critical Theory from the School of Visual Arts in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Literature from Rhodes College in 2010.
