Simon LEIRIS has held various positions in the field of chemistry since 2007. In 2007, they were a Research Associate at the Biodesign Institute - ASU in the United States. In 2009, they became a Research Engineer at ICSN/CNRS. From 2010 to 2013, they were a R&D Project Manager - Chemistry at Pharmaleads, where they were responsible for the design, synthesis and development of metalloproteases inhibitors in the field of endogenous analgesia and antidiarrhea. Simon also supervised and managed new research projects, conducted multi-step organic synthesis, developed API's new synthetic routes, and was an Environment, Health and Safety specialist. In 2013, they became a Senior Chemist and Process Manager and R&D Project Manager - Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry at ANTABIO SAS.
Simon LEIRIS began their educational journey in 2001 when they obtained a Master II of Science in Biomolecular Chemistry from UMII, Montpellier. Simon then continued their studies, receiving a Ph.D in Medicinal Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier in 2006. Theirdegree was in Biomolecular Chemistry and their field of study was Medicinal and Organic Chemistry.
