Govindhasamy Karthik

Govindhasamy Karthik is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering and leadership roles. Govindhasamy is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CTO of Antaris Inc, a software platform provider for the space industry. In this role, they simplify the process of designing, simulating, manufacturing, and operating satellites, contributing to improved mission success and reduced costs.

Previously, Karthik worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Diamanti from November 2018 to July 2021. Govindhasamy was responsible for overseeing business operations in this role.

Before that, Karthik held the position of CTO and EVP Engineering at Planet. Here, they played a vital role in managing the world's largest fleet of Earth imaging satellites, implementing spacecraft design, manufacturing, mission control infrastructure, ground network planning, and advanced research and development.

At Microsoft and Nokia, Karthik served as the Head of Engineering for ten years (2005 to 2015). During this time, they demonstrated their leadership skills by leading diverse teams in hardware, software, industrial design, product, and program management. Govindhasamy contributed to the successful launch of multiple products and played a significant role in various mergers and acquisitions.

Karthik's early career included a role as a Sr. Engineering Manager at Uniden, where they were responsible for CDMA-based Wireless Local Loop handset and base station product development and validation. Govindhasamy also played a key role in defining strategies and development plans for Uniden's first VoIP consumer terminals.
