Teresa Howard has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Teresa started their career in 2008 as an English Teacher at Desert Sands Charter School, where they worked until 2011. In 2011, they joined Antelope Valley Union High School District as an English/AVID Teacher and was promoted to Vice Principal in 2014. As Vice Principal, they had various responsibilities, including overseeing activities at Littlerock High, implementing PBIS and managing the English Department at Palmdale High School, and serving as the site administrator for Palmdale Preparatory Academy. In 2022, they transitioned to the role of Coordinator for Career Tech Ed and later became the Director of Industry Liaison & Post-Secondary Partnerships in the same district.
Teresa Howard earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from California State University, Bakersfield in 2007. Teresa then pursued a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2012 to 2014. Later, in 2014 to 2015, Teresa earned an Admin Credential from Brandman University.
