Mark has experience as an Assistant/Interim Director at Kindred at Home, where they assisted with the overall responsibility of running the unit efficiently and effectively. Mark has also worked as the Executive Director at New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care, where they played a crucial role in increasing regional census and overseeing operational performance. Mark has experience as the Director of Resident Care/Interim Executive Director at Retirement Center Management, where they recruited, managed, and directed resident care staff. Before that, they worked as a Utilization Review Specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, responsible for providing accurate clinical documentation to payors.

Mark began their educational journey in 1992 at Pensacola Christian College, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a focus on Health and Physical Education/Fitness. Mark completed this program in 1995.

Following their Bachelor's Degree, Mark Bearden attended Lamar State College Orange from 1995 to 1996 and obtained a Nursing degree in Nursing Science. This allowed him to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse, certified by the Texas Board of Nursing in September 1996.

Seeking further education in the healthcare field, Mark pursued a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration with a Concentration in Gerontology at Valparaiso University from 2015 to 2017.

In 2013, Mark Bearden earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ohio Christian University.

Continuing their academic journey, Mark enrolled at Columbia International University in 2019, where they completed a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership, specifically in the field of Organizational Leadership, in 2021.

Currently, Mark Bearden is pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership at Columbia International University, with an expected completion date in 2024.

In addition to their educational achievements, Mark Bearden has also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they became a certified Assisted Living Facility Manager through TALA. Mark also obtained certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners in October 2018.
