Derek Paiva

Derek Paiva is a seasoned editorial professional with extensive experience in the media industry. Currently serving as Senior Supervisor and Director of Editorial Services at Anthology Marketing Group, a FINN Partners Company, since July 2015, Derek has previously held leadership roles as Editor-in-Chief and Online/Associate Editor at HAWAII Magazine from December 2007 to May 2015. Derek's early career includes significant contributions as an Entertainment, Lifestyle, and Features Writer for The Honolulu Advertiser from 2000 to 2007, as well as a Staff Writer and Corporate Writer for HMSA Island Scene Magazine in 2000. Derek also gained valuable experience as Assistant Editor and Associate Editor at Hawaii Business Magazine from January 1998 to April 2000. Educational credentials include a degree in Journalism with a focus on Print Journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, complemented by a foundational education at Hilo High School.
