Hernán Elgueta Velásquez

Hernán Elgueta Velásquez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Hernán is currently working at Antofagasta Minerals as the Subgerente Inversión Social / Asuntos Públicos MLP / VP Asuntos Corporativos y Sustentabilidad. Prior to this, they worked as an Académico at the Universidad de La Serena. Hernán also served as a Director and Co-Founder at Socialab, a social transformation movement focused on innovative and sustainable solutions to poverty and inequality. Additionally, they held managerial positions at ACCIONA, the Ministerio de Obras Públicas, and the Ministerio de Salud Chile. Hernán also worked at Fundación Diseño Distribuido, Fundación Vivienda, Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo, and TECHO | TETO in roles related to research, development, innovation, and social entrepreneurship.

Hernán Elgueta Velásquez earned a Master's degree in Advanced Design from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2017-2018. Hernán also completed a Diploma in Strategic Management, Leadership, Creativity, and Innovation from the same university in 2011. Hernán holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Construction and a degree in Real Estate Management and Construction from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which they completed from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Universidad de Arte y Ciencias Sociales ARCIS in 2004-2008.
