Grady Venville

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic at The Australian National University

Grady Venville is an experienced academic leader currently serving as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic at The Australian National University since April 2018, with additional roles including Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education). Prior to this, Grady held various positions at The University of Western Australia from January 2007 to March 2018, including Dean of Coursework Studies and Professor of Science Education, as well as serving as Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education). Grady's governance experience includes being a Council Member at Wesley College and a Board Member at Scitech. Grady contributed to the Journal of Research in Science Teaching as an Associate Editor from January 2015 to December 2017 and was part of the Australian Research Council's College of Experts from January 2013 to December 2015. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a Diploma of Education from The University of Western Australia, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Curtin University.
