Max Bruner has held a variety of roles in the corporate world since 2009. Max began their career as a Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy in 2009. Max then moved on to become an Energy and Natural Resources Investment Advisor for the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation in 2011. In 2012, they became an Inaugural Member of Entrepreneur First, as well as the Founder & CEO of Mavrx Inc., a company that digitally transformed U.S. agriculture retail sales and crop insurance. Max was also named a Leader of Tomorrow by the St. Gallen Symposium in 2014. In 2018, they became the Founder of EI Ventures, as well as the Senior Advisor and VP/Head of Strategy & Corporate Development for Metromile, the leading pay-per-mile car insurance company in the U.S. In 2020, they became the COO & Managing Partner of Cold Pressed Labs and an Advisor for Koba Insurance. Max currently holds the role of Founder & CEO of Anzen Insurance.
Max Bruner attended Cate School, followed by the University of Cambridge where they earned an M.Phil. in Technology Policy and Economics. Max then went on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a B.A. in Middle East Studies, Political Science, and Economics.
