Sean Taffert, ing./Eng.

Sean Taffert has been working in the engineering and additive manufacturing industries since 2003. From 2003 to 2012 they were the Chief Technical Officer for GoNetIQ Consulting Inc., providing freelance technical consulting. From 2012 to 2013 they worked as Regional Manager (Eastern Canada) for Cimetrix Solutions Inc. and from 2013 to 2016 they were the Product Manager - Peripherals & Door Panels for WABTEC Passenger Transit / Vapor Stone Rail. From 2016 to 2019 they were the Director Of Operations & Project Managment for Lumid and from 2021 to 2022 they were the Directeur de la technologie / CTO for Print Our Home. Since 2022 they have been the Implementation Manager for AON3D and the Project Manager for Fuji Semec. Sean has also provided Expert Additive Manufacturing / Engineering services as a Senior Consultant for Industrial 3DP + Magic and supported all aspects of Project Management and Engineering as a Project Engineer / Customer Contract Engineer for Aerotek.

Sean Taffert holds a MSc. (inc.) in Mechanical Engineering (hydraulic control systems) from Concordia University, which they obtained in 1999. Sean also holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering (thermo-fluids & propulsion) from Concordia University, which they obtained in 1991. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including a Professional Engineer (PE) from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Quèbec in 2019, a Dell Certified Systems Expert (DCSE) from Dell in 2002, an Oracle Weblogic Admin from BEA Systems in 2002, an Oracle Database Admin from Oracle in 2001, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows Server from Microsoft in 1999, and a Certified Instructor AutoCAD from Autodesk in 1995.
