Following that, from 1986 to 1987, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Industrial Management with a specialization in quality control and assurance at the University of Birmingham. Tong Li completed their education by earning a phD in Nuclear Physics from Michigan State University, which they attended from 1987 to 1992.
