Ron Main has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Ron started their career at Duke Energy Corporation as a Pipeline Engineer and later became a Senior Pipeline Engineer, responsible for operations engineering and managing infrastructure installations. Ron then worked at Alinta as an Engineering Manager before joining Epic Energy, where they held various roles including Transportation Services Manager, Gas Transportation Engineering Manager, and Principal Gas Transportation Engineer. At Epic Energy Holdings, they served as the Manager Commercial Operations Interface, focusing on gas transportation engineering and ensuring operational requirements of commercial contracts were met. Currently, they are working at APA Group as the Operations Stream Lead for the Environmental Data Improvement Project, overseeing gas management and control center management.
Ron Main attended Seacombe High School from 1971 to 1975 where they earned their Matriculation degree. Ron then enrolled at the University of Adelaide in 1976 and completed their first year of studies in the Science field. In 1978, they started their Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Regency Park TAFE SA, which they completed in 1982. Finally, Ron Main pursued further education at the University of South Australia from 1989 to 1995, where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical.
