Verity Tan

Verity Tan is an Operations & Maintenance Analyst at APA Group since November 2023 and has been a Research Assistant at UNSW since September 2021. Verity has held various roles at UNSW, including Sun to H2O VIP Student and SPREE Ambassador, where engagement with high school students through workshops highlighted a passion for photovoltaic engineering. As a Taste of Research Scholar, Verity developed models on the lifetime of PV panels, contributing to the Journal of Sustainability and presenting findings at the World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Convention in Milan. Previous roles include Consultant in Sustainability & Climate Change at Aurecon, PV Pre-Sales & Data Analyst Engineer at Smart Commercial Solar, and Store Manager at Rolld Australia Pty Ltd. Verity also served as Co-President and General Committee Member for Engineers Without Borders Australia, participating in projects focused on humanitarian design and community engagement. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Photovoltaics and Solar Energy Engineering from UNSW, supplemented by studies in philosophy at The University of Queensland.
