Guy van der Werf

Guy van der Werf has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Guy'smost recent role was as the Chief Technology Officer at APARAVI, starting in December 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director, Technology at APARAVI from September 2021 to November 2021.

Before joining APARAVI, Guy worked at Wirecard, where they held various positions. Guy started as a Database Specialist in October 2008 and later served as the Business Intelligence System Analyst from January 2009 to August 2011. From September 2011 to May 2014, they worked as the Head of Collection & BI, and then as the Head of Enterprise Business Intelligence from June 2014 to September 2018. Guy'slast role at Wirecard was as the Lead Data Scientist, which they held from September 2018 to December 2020.

Guy also gained valuable experience at other companies earlier in their career. Guy worked briefly as a Database Administrator at UFIS Airport Solutions AS in August and September 2008. Before that, they were a Software Analyst & Engineer and Database Administrator at FINSys from March to May 2008. In 2006, they worked as a Software Analyst & Engineer at Atradius.

Guy's career started in 1991 at Computer Productivity Ltd, where they worked as a Pro-IV Senior Software Analyst & Engineer for five years. Guy then moved on to McDonnell Douglas Information Systems in 1996, where they served as a PRO-IV Software Analyst & Engineer for a short period. From 1997 to 1999, they worked at CSC PLOENZKE SA as a System Designer, Software Engineer, and Database Administrator. Guy also had a brief stint at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as a System Migrator and Software Analyst & Engineer in 1997.

Throughout their career, Guy has showcased their expertise in technology, software engineering, business intelligence, and data analysis.

Guy van der Werf completed their Matriculation at Rondebosch Boys High School from 1983 to 1987. In 1988, they pursued a First year in Electrical Engineering at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. In 1989, they obtained a Diploma in Electronic Data Processing from Boston Computer Schools.
