Andrew Philpott

Andrew Philpott is an accomplished professional in the field of town and regional planning, currently serving as Chief Development Officer at Apatura Ltd since August 2014. In this role, Andrew has significantly contributed to the company's growth in renewable energy development, leading the team in securing grid connections for over 10GW of projects and overseeing the planning consent for approximately 1GW of renewable capacity. Prior to this, Andrew worked as a Planning Consultant at AAH Planning Consultancy from July 2012 to July 2014, focusing on renewable sector projects, and as a Planning Officer at North Yorkshire County Council, specializing in Minerals and Waste Planning from July 2008 to July 2012. Andrew began their career as a Planning Technician at Harrogate Borough Council from February 2005 to June 2008, managing planning applications and consultations. Andrew holds a Master of Arts degree in Town and Regional Planning from Leeds Beckett University, completed in 2010.
