Jessica Small has accumulated extensive work experience in human resources and operations management. Jessica started their career at DDC in 2011 as an HR Assistant, where they managed full life-cycle recruiting and implemented new HR projects. Jessica then became an HR Generalist, streamlining recruiting efforts and analyzing recruitment demographics at McDermott Will & Emery LLP. At Go BIG Media, Inc., they served as the Director of Culture, leading the execution of core culture strategies and overseeing HR projects. Jessica'smost recent position was at Purple Strategies, where they worked as an Operations Manager, utilizing data analysis and workforce planning tools to improve operational effectiveness. Small is currently working as a Resources Manager at APCO Worldwide, applying their skills in managing resources and driving organizational efficiency.
Jessica Small has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Marymount University. Jessica also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in History and Psychology from Virginia Tech.
In addition to their degrees, Jessica has obtained several certifications. Jessica is a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., which they obtained in May 2021. In March 2014, they became a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certified by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Jessica also holds a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM, which they obtained in March 2014.
