Pascal Deschatelets

Pascal Deschatelets is a prominent figure in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer as well as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Apellis Pharmaceuticals since May 2009, overseeing all operations and non-clinical development. Previously, Pascal co-founded Potentia Pharmaceuticals and held the position of Chief Operating Officer until September 2015. Additionally, from June 2008 to March 2014, Pascal contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of Louisville. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Senior Research Scientist at Luna Innovations, a Visiting Scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an IT Tech Specialist. Pascal holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard University and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Université de Montréal, along with multiple degrees in chemistry and life sciences.
