Piyush Vijayvergia has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Piyush began their career with The Timken Company, where they worked as a Project Manager/ Analyst in the Quality Advancement department. Piyush was recognized for their excellent results on lean six projects and support in global customer complaint resolution.
Vijayvergia then joined ArcelorMittal, where they held positions such as Marketing and Retail Business Development Manager at ArcelorMittal Temirtau and Strategy and Business Development Manager at ArcelorMittal Distribution Solutions. In these roles, they formulated strategic plans, implemented distribution channels, and presented opportunities for increasing market share.
Currently, Vijayvergia serves as the Head of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for Aperam's Alloys and Specialties Downstream Business. Piyush is responsible for leading global sales and business development, focusing on segments like E-Mobility and making inroads with key global OEMs.
In addition, Vijayvergia also led the business development efforts for Innovative Clad Solution Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Aperam and other companies. Piyush successfully turned around the company's specialty product segment of clad metal manufacturing through business expansion to new territories and development into new segments such as Ordnance, Automotive, and Electronics.
Piyush Vijayvergia completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Manufacturing Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1998 to 2002. Piyush also pursued an MBA in Marketing and Finance at the Indian School of Business from 2007 to 2008.
