Tara Ketner

Tara Ketner has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 as a 2nd-grade teacher for New Hanover County Schools. In 2008, they became an Educational Technology Consultant for mimio, where they remained until 2013. In 2010, they took on the role of Product Training and Professional Development Specialist for Dymo/Mimio - Interactive Teaching Technologies. Ketner then joined Apperson, Inc. in 2013 as an Implementation Manager until 2016. Tara has been with Aperture Education since 2017, initially as the Director of Implementation & Support until 2018, then as the Director of Client Success until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Product Owner at Aperture Education.

Tara Ketner earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the years 2003-2007. Following this, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Health Education & Promotion at East Carolina University from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Tara Ketner has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These certifications include a Certificate of UX Strategy from UX Strategy Training with Jaime Levy, obtained in June 2021. Tara also holds a certification in Agile Release Planning from Lean Agile Training, completed in July 2019. Furthermore, they have attained a Designing Learning Certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in May 2016. Moreover, Tara has acquired the Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 1 certification from SuccessHACKER in April 2020 and the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in July 2019.
