Anewar Burka

Anewar Burka is an experienced professional in monitoring, evaluation, and data science, currently serving as the Manager of Data Science at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since December 2020. Previously held roles include Senior Specialist in Monitoring and Evaluation at APHL, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist at Vital Voices Global Partnership, and various positions at Population Services International, including Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator. Early career experience includes M&E and Database Officer at Save the Children International, Program Officer at Save the Children US, and Program Coordinator at The Global Fund. Anewar holds a Master of Arts in Social Psychology from Hawassa University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Jimma University.
