Julia Dickie is a Research Fellow at the Association of Public Health Laboratories, currently engaged in a project focused on extracting and detecting pesticides in Michigan-grown crops. Previously, as a Research Scientist at Advanced Nanomaterials, Julia synthesized magnetic and gold nanoparticles for diagnostic assays and conducted stability studies. Julia's academic background includes a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Wyoming, where Julia served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant, working on pathogen detection and improving biotechnological methods. Additionally, Julia has experience in tutoring student athletes and leading laboratory sections, demonstrating a strong commitment to education and a passion for STEM.
