Megan McCarthy, MPH, is a dedicated public health professional with a diverse background in community health and program management. Currently serving as a Public Health Laboratory Fellow at the Association of Public Health Laboratories and as a Program Manager for the Food Insecurity Grant Team at the American Academy of Pediatrics, Megan has also gained experience as a Medical Receptionist at Northern Virginia Pelvic Surgery and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Community THRIVES Lab. Previous roles include managing social media for the DC Department of Health's WIC program, assisting in public health education as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, and communications work with Franciscan Mission Service. Megan McCarthy holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from St. John's University.
