Shannon Emery has extensive experience in public health and molecular biology, currently serving as the Manager of Global Health at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since August 2018. With a significant tenure at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a Molecular Biologist since September 2006, Shannon specializes in real-time PCR diagnostics for influenza, laboratory surveillance, and training technicians globally. Previous roles include Laboratory Technician at Emory University and Laboratory Intern at Zambia-Rwanda HIV Research, where Shannon gained expertise in laboratory management and quality control. Shannon holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington.
