Laura Kolker

Laura Kolker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Laura started their career in 2004 as a Consultant at GlaxoSmithKline, where they played a role in developing prototypes for new tools in the R&D IT division. In 2006, they transitioned to Steep Development, LLC as a Java Developer, a position they held for 15 years until 2021. In the same year, they also briefly worked as a Lead Programmer at iFractal, LLC. Currently, Laura is working at Appfire, where they first served as a Principal Software Engineer from July 2021 to January 2022. Laura then took on the role of Head of Product Engineering from January 2022 to April 2023. As of now, Laura holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Appfire.

Laura Kolker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Stony Brook University between 1995 and 1999. Laura later obtained a Master of Computer and Information Technology degree in Software Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania between 2003 and 2005. Additionally, they have a certification in Agile Software Development: Scrum for Developers, obtained from LinkedIn in 2021.
