Martin Gudmundsson

Director of Regulatory & Legal - EMEIA at Apple

Martin Gudmundsson is the current Director of Regulatory & Legal for EMEIA at Apple. Prior to joining the company, Gudmundsson served as Senior Legal Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at ST-Ericsson from September 2007 to January 2013. In this role, they were responsible for legal support for ST-Ericsson customer and operator activities in the Americas and Japan. This included negotiating complex international licensing contracts, joint development contracts, and corporate supply agreements with large American companies, primarily mobile OEMs.

From March 2003 to January 2005, Gudmundsson worked as Legal Counsel for Tetra Pak. In this role, they provided legal support to Tetra Pak’s global purchasing department, involving contract drafting and negotiations of supply and consultancy agreements. Martin also drafted, implemented, and updated global contract templates for equipment sales and R&D cooperation agreements.

Before their work with Tetra Pak, Gudmundsson served as a Senior Associate Attorney at Advokatfirman Vinge KB from March 2002 to July 2007. Martin began their career as a Trainee at the European Commission (DG COMP) from August 2001 to March 2002.

Martin Gudmundsson graduated with a Master of Laws from Lund University, with a focus in antitrust law, IT law, and commercial law. Martin then pursued a career in media law, European law, and comparative law at Maastricht University. Finally, they completed a philosophy degree, with concentrations in history, business administration, and organizational theory at Malmö University.
