Pearce Merritt

Pearce Merritt is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Apple since April 2024. Prior roles include Staff Software Engineer at EveryDay Labs from September 2020 to April 2024, where Pearce led teams in developing a truancy product and a reporting product focused on student attendance. Experience also includes positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Pinterest, responsible for optimizing ETL pipeline processes, and at Opower, where Pearce designed microservices and contributed to front-end web applications. Additional roles involve teaching and tutoring at Hackbright Academy and UC Santa Cruz, along with early experience at MFOUNDRY and other organizations. Pearce holds dual B.A. degrees in Computer Science and Psychology, along with a Minor in Electronic Music from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
