Jim has over a decade of experience in engineering, engineering consulting, and construction in the power and chemical industries focusing on automation, instrumentation, safety instrumented systems, and process safety. His focus is on partnering with the clients to develop integrated solutions to their functional safety and automation challenges. In addition to his work with clients, Jim is actively involved in shaping and improving the future of industry through involvement with the NCEES exam committee for Control Systems Engineering and the CAP steering committee as well as being a member of the Board for the International Society of Automation. Jim has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, is a Professional Engineer, Certified Functional Safety Expert, and a Certified Automation professional.
