Engineering at Applied Intuition

Ernest Gustave has had a career in engineering starting from 2016, when they worked as a laboratory assistant at Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science. Later, in 2017, they worked as a student member of Vanderbilt University Emerging Tech Lab, where they developed a self-driving golf cart prototype. From 2018-2019, they worked as an undergraduate research assistant at Tennessee State University, where they designed and analyzed combustion chamber computational fluid dynamics models. In 2019, they joined Honda R&D Americas, Inc. as an ADAS development engineer. In 2021, they worked as an ADAS/self-driving validation engineer at Rivian, followed by a position as a senior ADAS/Self Driving Validation Engineer. Currently, in 2023, they work as an engineering consultant at Applied Intuition.

Ernest Gustave completed their secondary education at Boyd H. Anderson High School in 2015. Ernest then went on to attend Vanderbilt University from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. In 2014, they obtained the certification of Protecting Human Research Participants from the National Institutes of Health.
