Software Engineer at Applied Invention

Gerry Salinas has worked in the engineering field since 2009. Theirwork experience includes interning at AeroVironment in 2009, where they developed and presented multiple candidates for an electric vehicle charger's cable management system, conducted thermal stress testing of custom components, and constructed a custom array to test solar panel performance as a function of cell configuration. In 2010, they worked as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology, where they completed mechanical design of a sensor pod in SolidWorks, fabricated two prototype pods, and constructed experimental apparatus for faculty researchers. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Applied Minds, where they designed prototype and production components for diverse projects, constructed parts using rapid manufacturing techniques, supervised fabrication of components, created drawings, and tested parts to ensure they met specifications. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer at NovaSignal. In 2021, they were a Research Associate at Cedars-Sinai, and they are currently a Software Engineer at Applied Invention.
